When Aston Martin returned to the pinnacle of Motorsport in 2021, it did so with more than just race cars. Our prestigious marque was selected to be the first new provider of the official Safety Cars for the world's premier Grand Prix racing series in over two decades.Piloted by long-standing Safety Car driver Bernd Maylander, a man who has held this position for over 20 years, this generation Vantage Safety Car supported 34 races between 2021 & 2023, clocking up more than 10,000km on some of the world's most challenging circuits. These Safety Cars add to the rich heritage of Vantage and have played an important role in motorsport history. Aston Martin has made two of the three cars available for private sale, both of which have been signed by Aston Martin Aramco drivers, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll. We have had the pleasure of supplying the first one, SC03, into private hands and have been able to purchase the second one SC02 to help find its next lucky owner.SC02 VIN N00045, as you see here, has helped create a lot of sporting history, appearing at 20 Grand Prix between 2021 and 2023, totalling 4280km across track tests and race deployments for premier championship and its support categories. This car was used for the controversial deployment that saw Max Verstappen win the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and ultimately the 2021 World Drivers' Championship ahead of Lewis Hamilton on the final lap of the race.We will leave you to your own conclusions of what should have happened at this race, but this is the Safety Car that created history in one of the most memorable season finales. Please contact the sales team at Aston Martin Leeds for a deeper conversation about this car and to discuss the documented provenance
